TIP 5: DON'T GIVE BULLYING AN AUDIENCE. A PARENT'S PERSPECTIVE
KEVIN EPLING: In a hallway situation you don't want to give them an audience, because that audience feeds the powerbase of the bully.
JULIE HERTZOG: I tell my girls that if you laugh that means you agree with what's happening. And you may not be the person bullying directly, but you're certainly supporting the situation. And you're just as responsible then for hurting that person, and that you need to take accountability then for how you're responding to it. You may not have initiated it, but to support it is a behavior that we wouldn't accept at our house.
